Professional Yoga Therapy Studies

PYT™ Program Prerequisites

Applicant must hold a current professional health care license in the State or States which they practice which could include MD, PA-C, PT, OT, PTA, COTA, RN, ATC, RN, or MT* for example.**
Applicant must have completed a minimum of one year (2 semesters) of University level anatomy, physiology, gross anatomy, and/or neuroanatomy.
Coursework in biomechanics/kinesiology, developmental psychology, statistics, exercise physiology, physics, research methods, and rehabilitation sciences are preferred.
Applicant must have at least a 6 month (minimum) personal yoga practice.
Applicants must currently have a dedicated, consistent personal yoga practice.
Yoga teaching and therapeutic yoga experience is preferred.

*MT's must show proof of graduation from a minimum 500 hour program or be recognized by the NCBTMB.
