CYT-C Annual Continuing Education Requirements
1. “Recognized yoga coursework” can include any Yoga Alliance CE provider and is not limited to PYTS courses only, although PYTS offers CE Courses annually to maintain your CYT-C status as an active student.
2. A CYT-C must maintain a current health care professional license in the state or states which they practice.
3. A CYT-C must submit a copy of their current health care professional license to PYTS when submitting their Annual CE Hours Log.
4. Current CPR must be maintained. It is up to the student to maintain their CPR certification and to keep current records to that effect. PYTS does not require that students send in a copy of their CPR certification annually.
Directions for renewal:
I. You must meet 1 of the 2 requirements for CEU annually.
1. 100 hours of documented independent self study and teaching time.
OR
2. 20 hours attendance at PYTS recognized yoga therapy or yoga courses. 1 hour = 1 CEU *Courses do not have to be taken with PYTS. Yoga Alliance recognized courses are approved.
II. Your annual renewal is due by the last day of the month that you took your first PYTS Course Module. Example: First course PYTI San Diego, June 2007: Your renewal due date is June 30 every year.
III. To Renew: Download the Annual Log in the CYT Password Protected Area. Only active students with logon and password will be allowed in this area. Include the fee(s) by check or credit card with your log.
